World Paper Index is the permanent, free, comprehensive entity graph of paper — every grade, mill, brand, and certification with a canonical ID (WPI-g-000042, WPI-m-000128, etc.). The IDs are permanent. Every fact on every page is grounded in source documents we preserve.

The industry is a $350 B global trade that still runs on email and Excel. Paper grade names alone have no canonical reference — one mill's “Kraft Liner 140” is another mill's “Testliner 2” is another buyer's “KL 140”. We fixed that first.

WPI feeds B2BPaper, the live surplus marketplace. Designers, procurement, print shops, mills, and journalists can use WPI for free; commerce flows through B2BPaper where mills and buyers actually transact.
